A Sweet Build: Constructing Amy Rose with Nanoblocks
Enter the world of Nanoblocks once again as we take on the adorable character, Amy Rose, from the Sonic universe. With her characteristic pink hue and charming personality, Amy makes for an exciting and engaging build. Let’s dive into each step of this delightful construction.

Step 1: Setting the Stage
We begin our journey with the head section of Amy’s build, just like the Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles Nanoblock sets. This step consists of a single layer of assorted pink and tan bricks. With the help of the Nanoblock pad, the foundation is set with ease, offering stability for what lies ahead.

Step 2: Building Up the Head
Another single layer continues to build up the head section. The model already feels quite stable at this point, but for added security, leaving it on the Nanoblock pad feels like a wise choice.

Step 3: Crafting the Eyes
We introduce a single layer focusing on Amy’s eye section, featuring turquoise and white bricks. The build remains stable, and this layer further secures any connections left from the previous step.

Steps 4 and 5: Progressing with the Eyes
Continuing to build up the eye section, we add another single layer. The instructions remain straightforward, and the model continues to hold its stability even when removed from the Nanoblock pad.

Step 6: Introducing the Headband
Another single layer of mostly pink bricks is added. This step introduces the headband, commencing with a pair of red 1×1 bricks. Clear instructions with special keys differentiate similar-looking but different pieces, providing clarity and ease of assembly.

Step 7: Adding the Ears
We continue with a single layer, building on the red headband section and introducing Amy’s ears. A pair of raised 1×2 wedge pieces begins the ear construction.

Step 8: Completing the Bangs
A simple two-block step, this step finishes the previous layer with one of Amy’s bangs, enhancing her overall appearance.

Step 9: Finalizing the Hair Feature
A single layer concludes Amy’s hair feature, securely anchored with a pink 2×3 brick. The ear section is enhanced with a pair of tan 1×1 bricks, while the red headband section is neatly wrapped up with a 1×3 brick sandwiched between a pair of 1×1 bricks.

Step 10: Completing the Ears
A straightforward addition, finalizing Amy’s ears with a pair of pink 1×1 bricks. The head section is almost complete at this stage.

Step 11: Textured Stability
This step has us turning the model upside down and adding a series of stepped pieces. These elements add both texture and stability to the head, resulting in a more secure build. While not particularly challenging, the placement of these bricks can be slightly tricky due to their arrangement in this step.

Step 12: Constructing the Body
A multi-part process that builds the entirety of Amy’s body, arms, and hands. It also involves placing the head onto the body, with the build itself not posing significant difficulties. Amy’s arms, crafted from the same slanted cylinder bricks used for the legs, prove to be sturdy and reliable.

Step 13: Creating the Stand
In this step, we construct and place a stand for Amy, crafted from clear bricks, which symbolize its invisibility. The stand serves a dual purpose by securing the left hand section to the body, ensuring overall stability. While not included in the instructions, a 1×2 clear brick can be added to secure the right hand further, although concerns about the stability of Amy’s arms are minimal.

Step 14: Final Layer
The last multi-staged step focuses on building Amy’s legs and shoes before placing them onto the rest of the model, ultimately concluding the Amy Rose build.
Final Thoughts: A Charming Build
Amy Rose is as an incredibly cute addition to the Sonic Nanoblock lineup. The clever design of her arms, placed behind her back, creates a charming pose. While the legs may seem slightly wobbly, this feature adds posability to the model, setting Amy apart from the other Nanoblock characters in this series. However, the absence of her iconic hammer is a missed opportunity. Nonetheless, Amy Rose is a well-designed build that offers enough stability to be recommended to both builders and Sonic fans alike.
